Media-streaming firm Netflix CEO earned $612 million from stock sales last year
LOS GATOS, California - Reed Hastings, the co-founder and CEO of Netflix, reported making $612.13 million from stock sales last year, during which the user base for the video-on-demand streaming service grew exponentially.
The media-streaming firm, with its subscriber base expanding to over 200 million members in 2020, saw its stock price climb over 67 percent last year.
A filing confirmed Hastings exercised his stock options, with a purchase of more than 1.33 million shares of Netflix in 2020.
An agreement outlined the pricing for exercising stock options, with the share value being variable during the purchase.
